A Disney World Date Day

In keeping with March's theme of celebrating women, don't be fooled into thinking that a day at Disney World is just for kiddos. One of my husband and I's favorite things to do as a couple together is to vacation at Disney World. So why can't you treat that special lady in your life to a Mickey filled date day? While we do enjoy running around the parks with our families (especially our little niece and nephews), it is truly is mind-blowing of how many amazing things there are to do outside of the parks. I am going to take you along through our favorite memories from our last few trips and create the dreamiest Disney Date Day Itinerary.

Stop 1: Massages at The Grand Floridian Spa. This spa is decked out in Disney magic. From the moment you step in you are greeted by the amazing staff and treated like royalty. We enjoyed a couples massage specifically tailored to our individual needs. After, we enjoyed the warming, tiled lounge chairs and books. Followed by a romantic dip in the whirlpool.

Stop 2: Our favorite spot to stay at is Corondado Springs Resort. This large resort is filled with Spanish charm and is geared more towards adults in our opinions. With lots of bars and restaurants you will never have a lack of opportunity for tasty treats. One extra feature they have is Sangria University. This quick 2-hour course explores the origins of sangria with a flight tasting, light bites and a chance to create your own sangria recipe and try it on the spot. The best part is the adorable diploma you receive.

Stop 3: Shopping and lunch at Disney Springs. Hop on over to Disney Springs to experience live entertainment, amazing shopping and amazing culinary vibes. Our favorite spot to dine at is The Boathouse. This gorgeous restaurant sits on the water and has an amazing array of fresh seafood on the menu. Did I mention it's a great place to people watch as well?

Stop 4: Once you have relaxed at your hotel and are ready for the night, throw on that date night outfit and hop on over to The Grand Floridian for a pre-dinner drink at the Enchanted Rose. This Beauty and the Beast themed bar will leave you in awe with both their carefully curated drink menu and breathtaking decor. Insider tip: the Lavender haze cocktail is my husband's favorite cocktail.

Stop 5: Our final stop is for dinner and fireworks at The California Grill. We tried this restaurant and fell in love at the amazing service and food but most importantly, the view! Take our advice and make sure to get a reservation time close to the firework show at Magic Kingdom. From the balcony of the restaurant on the top floor you can enjoy the sights and sounds of fireworks with a drink in one hand and your special gal in the other.

So, there you have it. Disney World isn't just for kids. Consider this for your next date night spot. Sprinkle that special woman in your life with some pixie dust and treat her like the princess she is.
